Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Adler Sterling website and any purchases you make through it. By accessing the site, joining our waitlist, or placing an order, you accept these Terms in full.

1. About us

Adler Sterling is an independent, founder-led menswear and lifestyle brand based in Hull, United Kingdom.

2. Eligibility

To place an order on Adler Sterling, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have legal capacity to enter into a contract
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Use the website lawfully and in accordance with these Terms

3. Products and pricing

Product descriptions

We make every reasonable effort to display product images, materials, and specifications as accurately as possible. However, slight variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur — particularly for natural-fibre textiles and stainless steel finishes that develop character with wear. These variations are not defects.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in pound sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but the price you pay is the price displayed at the moment you place your order.

Stock availability

Listed availability is updated regularly but not in real time. In rare cases, an item may sell out before we update the listing. If this happens after you've placed an order, we'll contact you immediately to offer a substitute, refund, or backorder option.

4. Discount codes

Discount codes (including CLAIM15) are subject to the following:

  • One use per customer per code unless otherwise stated
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts unless explicitly stated
  • Valid only on full-price items unless explicitly stated
  • We reserve the right to cancel or modify discount codes at any time
  • Discount codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged

5. Order acceptance

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the items at the displayed price.

We accept your order only when:

  1. We send you an order confirmation email, AND
  2. We dispatch the items

Until both have happened, we reserve the right to decline or cancel your order — including for reasons of stock, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or breach of these Terms. If we cancel an order after payment, we refund you in full immediately.

6. Payment

We accept all major debit and credit cards via our payment processors (Stripe / Shopify Payments / Apple Pay / Google Pay / Klarna where available).

Payment is taken at the moment your order is placed. Card details are processed by our payment providers and never stored on Adler Sterling servers.

7. Delivery

Delivery is governed by our Shipping & Delivery policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Risk and ownership of the goods passes to you when the order is delivered to your shipping address.

8. Returns and refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these Terms.

In summary: 365 days for unworn items, free UK returns, hygiene exceptions on underwear and sealed sleep aids.

9. Your account

If you create an account on Adler Sterling, you're responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

10. Acceptable use

You may not use our website to:

  • Engage in fraudulent transactions
  • Resell our products in commercial quantities without prior written authorisation
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or scrape our content for commercial use
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Engage in abuse, harassment, or illegal activity through any of our communication channels

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Adler Sterling website — including but not limited to text, photography, videos, logos, brand marks, copy, product names, and design elements — is the property of Adler Sterling and protected under UK and international copyright and trademark law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use our content without prior written permission.

Personal use (sharing a product page on social media, saving an image to a personal mood board, etc.) is permitted and encouraged.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Adler Sterling's total liability to you for any claim arising from your purchase is limited to the value of the order in question
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure)

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

13. Consumer rights

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, including:

  • The right to a refund if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose
  • The right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of delivery (in addition to our enhanced 365-day returns policy)
  • The right to repair, replacement, or refund for goods that fail within 6 months (presumed defective)

International customers (outside the UK) retain whatever consumer protections are afforded by their local jurisdiction, in addition to the protections granted by these Terms.

Geographic restrictions

Adler Sterling currently ships to the United Kingdom and selected international markets (including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand). We do not currently process orders to or from the European Economic Area (EEA). Orders attempted from EEA addresses will be cancelled and refunded in full.

14. Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
